Palm Trees1 Honeymoon Wishes...more like Honeymoon Homework!Honeymoon wishes? We’ve all got a lot of those. Some come true, some come close. Choosing a honeymoon destination was probably one of the more difficult and challenging parts of planning a wedding for me! Not because it was hard to book, but because there are SO many options and places to choose from. In the end, we chose the Royal Cancun in Cancun, Mexico, which was awesome and JUST what we needed. But the weeks leading up to that decision felt like a never ending review of resort web sites, offers and flights.

If you’re booking a honeymoon within the next few months, the best piece of advice I can give – DO YOUR RESEARCH!!! I cannot stress this enough. Researching your honeymoon location, reading reviews on you potential resort and checking out actual pictures are a MUST! Where do you find all this great information, you may ask?

Trip Advisor. Trip Advisor. Trip Advisor!  Trip Advisor is like the encyclopedia, or better yet the bible, for trip planning. Its users post real life stories, reviews and pictures from their own trips – which is so helpful! I spent hours every night for two weeks just reading about every resort and location we were looking at – Mexico, Costa Rica, Jamaica, the Bahamas and the Dominican Republic. In fact, it became quite an addiction, so much so, I think I actually ENJOYED it. If you haven’t checked it out, you should. I recommend reviewing it before taking ANY And EVERY trip.

Speaking of trips, I had to repost this from Iris Fields -  Honeymoon Hotspots: Thailand – which is what inspired me to put together this whole rant. If you can afford it, the Four Seasons in Chaing Mai looks like it is TO DIE FOR! I’m thinking a second honeymoon would be pretty nice right about now. What do you think?
