Now I must say, I’ve always been more a of a red and gray kind of girl myself. Don’t believe me? Check out my wedding photos. But seeing all of the bright yellow colors popping out of photographs, and off of my computer screen, is nearly enough to make me change my mind. It’s entirely possible that yellow might be becoming one of my new favorite colors for 2010.

A cake represents a lot about a person or a couple – what they like and their personal style. It can mean just as much for a wedding shower, baby shower or birthday party. Nestled in Dogtown (on Tamm Avenue), the Cakery has been exciting my taste buds for the past 5 years now. If you want a quick taste test, just stop by the Cupcakery in the Central West End for a sweet treat! They had me at “cupcake” and will have you too!

For weddings and parties, the Cakery has a wide assortment of cake flavors, fillings and icing – creating a butter cream tasting to die for! I’ve done it once and I’d do it again if I could. Not only is the cake itself amazing, but the design options and variety are too – attempting almost any cake or cupcake design imaginable. There won’t be crumb left in the place – I know because I’ve witnessed it.
